Natalia, CVT

Hi, my name is Natalia! I’m a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT). I’ve always known that I’ve wanted to work with animals. After high school graduation, I began working as an adoption counselor where I helped lost and surrendered animals find forever homes. After working alongside a veterinary technician at the shelter, and seeing first-hand how their work enhanced the lives of the shelter animals, I developed an interest in becoming a vet tech myself.

I earned my degree in Veterinary Technology from Portland Community College in 2018, and have worked in Veterinary Medicine for the past 10 years. I’m also a certified Fear Free veterinary professional. I started my career in general practice, but I have spent most of my career working in veterinary dentistry. I’m excited to be back in general practice! My favorite things in vet med include monitoring anesthesia, assisting in surgical/dental procedures, and educating pet owners on the importance of dental health. I know that the vet clinic can be a stressful environment, so I like to take the time to help my patients build a positive association with coming to the vet. My goal with each visit is to make animals and their humans feel they’re in caring and trustworthy hands.

Outside of work, I’m also an artist with my own small business. I enjoy drawing, reading, spending time with my partner, and learning new things via continuing education. My pet family includes a St. Bernard named Suica (Swee-kah) and a flock of chickens!
