I was raised in North Carolina and have been an animal lover my entire life. I have been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 2010, starting my career in private practice in Asheville, NC. In 2014, I began working in Emergency/ICU/Critical Care at the University of Tennessee's College of Veterinary Medicine. There, I discovered my passion for teaching and working with patients requiring complex nursing care.

I continued in emergency medicine until I moved to Oregon in 2019, returning to private practice just before the pandemic. To further expand my knowledge, I then transitioned to a full-time surgery technician role at Sunstone Veterinary Specialists, working alongside a board-certified surgeon. Following that, I worked with two board-certified veterinary dentists in Vancouver, WA. I feel incredibly fortunate to have gained experience in so many different areas of veterinary medicine. Seeking a role closer to home, I joined Fern Hill in 2025 and have loved being here ever since.

Outside of work, I share my life with my partner, two dogs, three cats, a freshwater puffer fish, and a saltwater reef tank. My hobbies include gardening, hiking, camping, photography, crafting, playing instruments, and volunteering for disaster relief work. I am also a proud advocate for raising awareness about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and its co-occurring conditions—and interesting fact, cats and dogs can have various forms of EDS as well!
